It is important to note that you should not schedule any intense skincare appointments too close to your makeup appointment. These treatments include waxing, spray tans, laser treatments, and microdermabrasion. Otherwise, they run the risk of an unpleasant makeup appointment.

Always wash your face with a gentle cleanser that is suited to your skin type as a first step before applying any makeup. After cleansing, rinse with warm water to remove all traces of the cleanser and pat dry with a soft towel - don't rub as this can cause redness.
